കെ വി സൈമണ്‍ (1883 -1943 )
1883 ല്‍ ജനനം. പിതാവ്‌ വര്‍ഗീസ്‌. മാതാവ്‌ താണ്ടമ്മ . വിദ്യാര്‍ഥിയായിരിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ത്തന്നെ കാവ്യരചനയില്‍ അനിതരസാധാരണമായ കഴിവു പ്രകടിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നു. സഹോദരനായ കെ.വി ചെറിയാന്‍ തന്നെയായിരുന്നു ഗുരുവും. പതിമൂന്നാം വയസ്സില്‍ അദ്ധ്യാപകനായി. ഭാര്യ അയ്യൂര്‍പണ്ടാലപ്പീടികയില്‍ റാഹേലമ്മ(അയ്യൂരമ്മ) . മലയാളം കൂടാതെ സംസ്കൃതം ഇങ്ക്ളീഷ്‌, തമിഴ്‌, തെലുങ്ക്‌ എന്നിവയില്‍ പരിജ്ഞാനവും സംഗീതകലയില്‍ അറിവുമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ക്രിസ്തുമതപ്രചാരകനായിരുന്നു.
കൃതികള്‍: വേദവിഹാരം ,നല്ല ശമര്യര്‍, സംഗീതരത്നാവലി.
Born in 1883 in Kerala to Mr. Varghese and Mrs. Thandama .Simon grew up as a child with an exceptional skills in poetry. Taught by his elder brother K V Cherian, Simon started writing poems by the age of eight .He became a teacher at the age of 13 in Marthoma School, Eduramala.
He was a scholar in Malayalam, Sanskrit, and Tamil. He also mastered English, Hindustani, Telugu, . In 1900, he married Ayroor Pandalapedika Rahelamma (later popularly called as Ayroor Amma). K.V. Simon was one of the prominent leaders of Brethren movement in India and a founding leader of Brethren movement in Kerala.

ഏതു സ്ഥലത്താണു്‌ അദ്ദേഹം ജനിച്ചതും വളര്‍‌ന്നതുമൊക്കെ?
ReplyDeleteനന്ദി ഏവൂരാന്‍. വായിച്ച പുസ്ത്കങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നും സൈറ്റുകളില്‍നിന്നും ജന്‍മസ്ഥലത്തെക്കുറിച്ച്‌ കേരളം എന്നല്ലാതെ മറ്റുസൂചനകളൊന്നും കിട്ടിയില്ല. അതുകാരണമാണ്‌ അതുള്‍ക്കൊള്ളിക്കാന്‍ കഴിയാഞ്ഞത്‌ .
